EDI And Toyota Motor Corp. Reach Agreement on Pending Patent Litigation

HONG KONG, April 30, 2012 – Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. (EDI), a major partner with EnviroTek Engine Technologies (ETET), has resolved a dispute with Toyota Motor Corp. (Toyota) regarding a portfolio of patents that were developed by Dr. Andrew A. Frank, PhD.

Dr. Frank is a co-founder of EDI and an Advisory Board Member of ETET. EDI has a broad patent portfolio covering hybrid technologies, which the company is actively working to commercialize for global markets.

As a development partner with EDI in hybrid drive train technology, ETET benefits from EDI’s world-class technology. Both EDI and ETET have joint projects in development.

ETET is a family of small and highly efficient internal combustion engines that are ideally suited for current and future drive systems. The EVT-90 family of engines are clean burning, fuel efficient, light weight (under 100 pounds), and range in displacement from 750 to 1200ccs. These engines can develop up to 200 HP and are ultra small in size (under 10″ in length). When coupled with clutches, motors, and CVTs, the result is an ideal small drive system that is capable of powering a wide range of vehicles.
